Museum Ludwig | Boaz Kaizman
To mark the anniversary year “2021: 1,700 Years of Jewish Life in Germany,” the Museum Ludwig has invited the artist Boaz Kaizman (born in 1962 in Tel Aviv; lives and works in Cologne) to create a new work that will be added to the museum’s collection following the exhibition. The large-scale video installation created by Boaz Kaizman consists of a total of 16 films, which are projected onto two walls of the large exhibition hall in a complex choreography using seven video projectors. The ambient sound also follows compositional principles, though the audio tracks of all films can also be listened to in their entirety individually via headphones.
235 Media designed, supplied, and installed all the technology for this elaborate video/audio installation.
