Marta Herford | SHIFT

From 17 June to 15 October 2023, the exhibition “SHIFT – AI and a Future Community” was on view at Marta Herford Museum of Art, Architecture and Design.

Nine international artists took positions on the complex social interrelations surrounding artificial intelligence, reflecting on the subject and making it tangible for visitors. The exhibition created a compelling exchange between humans, nature and technology, raising and answering questions while opening up new perspectives.

235 Media supported the artists Hito Steyerl and Philippe Parreno in the implementation of their works. Hito Steyerl’s installation comprises an immersive projected live simulation, articulated in the form of a narrative video that combines various sources and aesthetics. Philippe Parreno’s work presents 64 image sequences in high-end CGI, controlled by artificial intelligence and continuously evolving.
