LWL-Museum für Naturkunde | Diversity Wall

The LWL-Museum of Natural History and Planetarium in Münster opened the special exhibition “Genes—The Diversity of Life” on June 21, 2024.
The exhibition focuses on genetics and related phenomena such as mutations and genetic engineering. Through a wide range of partly interactive stations, visitors can explore complex relationships ranging from the microcosm of the cell to the diversity of life.

The special exhibition offers an interactive and inclusive approach to explaining genes while also highlighting key milestones in the history of genetics. Through the innovative combination of media technology and architecture, visitors embark on a scientific journey and discover the astonishing diversity of life.

235 Media supported the LWL in implementing the final installation “Diversity Wall” as well as several interactive stations. 235 Media was also responsible for implementing the design of the interactive video installation, in which visitors can become part of biological diversity themselves.

The exhibition has been extended and is now on view until 10 January 2027.
