Via Mistica | Bill Viola
Since the 1970s, American artist Bill Viola has explored both personal and universal experiences in his work, focusing on his emotional and spiritual engagement with significant metaphysical themes such as life, death, and transformation.
The exhibition, titled “Via Mistica,” took place in the Spanish city of Cuenca and featured a total of 16 installations by the artist. The media artist’s works were appropriately distributed across four “sacred” sites in the historic center of Cuenca. In addition to the Museo de Arte Abstracto Español, these included the churches of San Miguel and San Andrés, as well as the gallery of the Escuela de Arte José María Cruz Novillo, located in the former church of Las Angélicas.
235 MEDIA handled the technical planning and supervision of the exhibition, supplied all media technology, and carried out the technical setup and takedown.
Other exhibitions by Bill Viola, held at the Caixa Forum Barcelona, La Nava Salinas in Ibiza, the SESC Paulista in São Paulo, and the Moritzkirche in Augsburg, were also managed by 235 MEDIA.
