Naturmuseum Südtirol | Interactive Media Table

The South Tyrol Museum of Nature presents visitors with the region’s outstanding diversity in one of its permanent exhibition areas. The focus is particularly on biodiversity and its adaptation to changing living conditions and environments, as well as on the interaction between humans and nature.

Through several geographical sections, visitors gain insights into the distinctive characteristics of different habitats and the connections between them. Within this exhibition area, 235 Media produced an interactive installation in 2022 on the topic of “historical geographical place names of South Tyrol”. The installation allows visitors to explore the complete German toponymy of South Tyrol, comprising more than 179,000 field names, as an interactive atlas.
