The Lutherhaus was built in 1504 as an original Augustinian monastery and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1996. It received its current name because Martin Luther worked, lived and had an impact there after the Reformation, together with his family.

Due to renovation work, the Lutherhaus was closed to visitors until 2025. To nevertheless offer visitors an opportunity to gain insights into Luther’s life, a special exhibition was presented in the front building, known as the Augusteum. From 1 December 2023 to 6 January 2025, the exhibition “Literally Luther. The Reformer from A to Z” was shown there.

235 Media realised a large-scale immersive spatial projection that addressed themes from Luther’s life. Through the room-filling projection, visitors were guided into a boundless dimension and invited to immerse themselves in the subject matter.

The concept and production were created by Dr. Ulrich Hermanns Ausstellung Medien Transfer GmbH, Münster.
