Kunstmuseum Bonn | Restauration "Remagine"
The work “Remagine,” created in 2002 by artist Olafur Eliasson, consists of 12 spotlights whose beams project intangible spaces onto walls. The spotlights are controlled by a computer program and switch on and off accordingly, creating a complex interplay of illusions involving central-perspective spatial vanishing points and duplicated spaces.
Light plays a key role in many of Eliasson’s works, and he also makes use of the four elements. This methodology deceives and experimentally distorts the viewers’ perception.
The Kunstmuseum Bonn will revisit Eliasson’s work in 2022 and present it in a restored form. 235 Media was responsible for updating the computer programming and lighting control systems.
